Corey Crumpacker shares his deeply personal journey that lead to writing and producing White Fire, a film inspired by his brother Jake’s battle with Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. WHERE IT STARTED: JAKE'S JOURNEY

I was sixteen years old when my brother Jake was diagnosed with cancer. The day we found out the diagnosis I picked up my Dad’s camera and started filming everything unfolding around me. A year later that footage transformed into a little documentary called Jake’s Journey. Over the next few years it would be played at non-profit events across the state of Florida focused on childhood cancer and was one of the formative projects that led me to pursue a filmmaking career.
